About Sunshine
Sunshine continues to gain confidence in her foster home and has even started playing with her canine foster siblings. She feels most secure around other dogs, but it's clear she wants to trust people, she just needs time and patience. Sunshine will do best in a home with another dog who enjoys some playtime but is also content just hanging out. We know finding the right home for her may take time, she won't fall in love overnight, won't immediately give kisses, and may retreat to a quiet corner at first. But she just needs one person willing to believe in her and give her the space to feel safe and build trust. Sunshine is non destructive and does not require a kennel. She is potty trained and perfectly happy lounging around the house. Sunshine is a 10 year old, 80 lb German Shepherd mix. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
