Meet Paw, a handsome one-year-old black domestic longhair with a gentle spirit and a lot of love ahead of him. Paw is currently settling into his foster/rescue environment after being pulled from a shelter, and he is beginning to decompress and learn that he is safe. Like many young cats adjusting to big life changes, he is taking things one day at a time and showing quiet curiosity as he explores his new surroundings. Paw is currently being treated for a back abscess, which is being carefully managed by the rescue team. Despite this, he continues to show a calm and cooperative nature, allowing care and handling as he heals. His resilience and sweet temperament are already shining through. As he continues to recover and settle, Paw is expected to blossom into a loving companion who will thrive in a patient and caring home. He would do best with an adopter who can give him the time, understanding, and gentle attention he needs as he finishes healing and fully comes out of his shell. Paw is ready for his next chapter—a safe, quiet home where he can continue to heal, grow in confidence, and finally enjoy being the cherished cat he was always meant to be.
