Honey didn’t do anything wrong except not blend well with the new baby in her former home, which sadly landed her in the Bakersfield shelter. Thankfully, a dedicated volunteer recognized her potential and helped her find safety in Santa Barbara, where she is now thriving in foster care. As a classic Australian Cattle Dog, Honey is smart, obedient, and eager to please, exhibiting impressive training and a loyal spirit. She is genuinely a great house dog with just enough of that classic cattle dog 'spice' to keep life interesting. Although she enjoys the company of other dogs of various sizes and ages, she isn't interested in playing with them; instead, she adores toys and balls. Honey is best matched with dogs who don't stir up too much excitement and may not be suited for homes with cats without thorough introductions.
