Carmi is an adult female, medium-sized mixed breed (terrier/shepherd) currently located with Animal Rescuers Without Borders, Inc. She is spayed, house trained, and fully vaccinated, making her ready for a new home. Carmi gets along beautifully with dogs and children, but she should not be placed with cats or other small animals due to her prey drive.

About Carmi

They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Meet Carmi, a sweet and resilient girl who was rescued from the streets of Tijuana just before giving birth. After a dedicated citizen gave her a safe place for her puppies, Carmi found her way to a loving foster family, where she flourished and has now been spayed and fully vetted. She is a very healthy, adult mixed-breed terrier/shepherd who is crate, house, and potty trained—a testament to her adaptable spirit. Carmi is incredibly friendly with people and dogs of all sizes and ages, making her a wonderful companion at the dog park or on leash walks. She is very social, both on and off leash, and has lived harmoniously with a family that included young children, showing her gentle and playful side. However, Carmi does have a bit of prey drive, so she needs a home without cats, chickens, or other small pets; other dogs are absolutely welcome. She's not much of a barker, but will let you know if something is amiss, making her an ideal partner for retirees, working adults, or families. Carmi does get car sick but is becoming more comfortable with travel, especially with a bit of over-the-counter medication as suggested. She is still young at heart and would benefit from learning basic commands, and she is eager for a family to call her own. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
