Meet George, a handsome chocolate, tan, and white puppy from the Jetsons litter. He is about 5 months old and currently weighs around 25–30 pounds. We expect he will mature into a medium-sized dog, likely in the 45–60 pound range when fully grown. His breed mix is a best guess but may include Border Collie, Labrador Retriever, German Shepherd, possibly some Cattle Dog, and likely one or two additional breeds. George and his siblings were originally found on the streets in Texas underweight and in need of care. Since arriving in foster, he has received proper nutrition, veterinary attention, and time to settle in, and he has made great progress. George is a fun, happy boy who loves to play and explore. He enjoys the company of other dogs and is always ready for a good wrestling session or a game of chase. He has a playful and social personality and would likely do very well in a home with another dog to continue building confidence and social skills. He engages enthusiastically but is able to settle when playtime winds down. He is friendly with new people and quickly warms up, showing his affectionate and goofy side. George enjoys being petted and will happily stick close by your side, especially if there are snacks involved. He has a sweet, expressive face and a curious nature that makes him a joy to watch as he takes in the world around him. George has a moderate energy level. He enjoys active play and mental engagement but also appreciates downtime and will relax comfortably once he’s had his fun. He is also food motivated, which makes him a great candidate for continued training and learning. He has been doing well with crate time and house manners in foster care and has not shown destructive behaviors. He is learning routines and expectations and continues to make steady progress. George is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines including DHPP, rabies, and bordetella. He is current on preventatives and has been cleared for adoption by the vet.
