Deacon is an 8-year-old male Standard Poodle weighing about 75 pounds, and he’s a wonderful, well-mannered boy who is incredibly devoted to his people. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will stick by your side, Deacon just might be your guy. He’s a smart pup who already knows several commands: sit, wait, shake, off, “load” (for the car), let’s go, and more!He also has great leash manners, rides perfectly in the car, and loves going on long walks and hikes. Deacon is affectionate, attentive, and truly bonds deeply with his person The home he needs: Adult-only home (no small children) Preferably the only dog OR a calm, compatible dog (he can be selective, especially with males) No cats‍ Active home required — he thrives with exercise, structure, and outdoor time Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters.The application is the first step. Russell Rescue dogs are fostered in the Middle Tennessee area. We do not ship/transport our dogs, so the approved adopter must be willing to travel to Tennessee.
