Hi, I'm Winter. I'm about 2 years old, weigh around 45 pounds, and I'm a German Shepherd. I'm incredibly friendly and social, and I love being around people. Playing with toys and running around in the yard are some of my favorite things, and I really enjoy having space to move and burn off some energy. I'm affectionate, outgoing, and happiest when I'm included. I do well with other dogs and kids, and cats are still an unknown. I'm house trained and continuing to work on my leash skills. I can be leash reactive at times, mostly due to not having consistent training before coming into rescue, but I'm learning quickly and improving with guidance and structure. I joined the rescue after being pulled from a shelter with my newborn puppies. I took care of them until they were ready, and most of them have now found their forever homes. Now it's my turn to focus on the next chapter and find a family of my own. I'm scheduled to be spayed soon and will be heartworm tested at that appointment. I'd love a home with a fenced yard and people who are active enough to keep me engaged, but not necessarily a nonstop, go-go-go household. I'm still working on my socialization with other dogs, but with continued training, I'm expected to be a wonderful addition to a pack.
