Meet Noel Anne (aka Mia) 💛 This 14lb toy Aussie has been through more than her fair share in a short time. She came to NTASR after being abandoned with several other dogs when their owners moved away (still... how?!), and shortly after, we discovered she was pregnant. Since then, Noel has done an incredible job raising her six puppies (the Peanuts litter 🥜), and now that her mom duties are officially behind her, it’s finally her turn to find a forever home. She’s estimated to be just under 2 years old. Noel is incredibly sweet and gentle, but she’s still learning how to be a dog. It’s likely she didn’t have much exposure to things like walks, new people, or everyday life before coming into rescue, so she’s been working on all of that in foster care. She’s making steady progress, but will need a patient adopter who understands that she’s a work in progress. Since she is still learning how to dog, we would recommend a confident canine companion to help her continue to blossom. She does well with other dogs and has lived with cats — she mostly ignores them, but may chase if they run. She’s also been around kids and continues to build confidence with new experiences. Noel has so much potential and just needs someone willing to give her the time and space to fully come out of her shell. Watching her grow and gain confidence is going to be incredibly rewarding for the right person. Her foster family absolutely adores her (and letting her go won’t be easy), but they know she deserves a home of her own.
