About Buddy

Meet Buddy — The Sweet, Playful Boy Looking for a Cat Free Home: Buddy’s story began on a cold, rainy night at the end of October. After spending months living under a vehicle and in the yard, he finally warmed up enough to come inside — and he hasn’t looked back. Since then, he has been fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and given a clean bill of health by the Animal Hospital of West Chester. He’s about three years old, healthy, and ready for a fresh start. Buddy is a loving, playful, people oriented cat who enjoys cuddling at night or relaxing with you in front of the TV. He’s also perfectly happy being picked up and carried around. He’s litter box trained, not picky about food, and thrives on human companionship. However, Buddy has made one thing very clear: he does not want to live with other cats. Despite slow introductions, pheromones, and months of effort, he simply doesn’t get along with the resident cats and prefers to be the only feline in the home. For everyone’s safety and comfort, he currently stays in a finished basement when unsupervised — and he deserves a home where he can be free to enjoy life without stress. Personality Highlights: - Affectionate, cuddly, and loves human attention - Enjoys being picked up and carried - Playful and active - Litter box trained - Not picky about food - Thrives in a calm, cat free environment Ideal Home: Buddy would thrive in a home that: - Has no other cats - Wants a loving, interactive companion - Enjoys a playful cat who also loves to snuggle - Can offer him a safe, stable environment where he can be the center of attention Buddy has been through a lot, but he’s ready for a new beginning — one where he can relax, feel secure, and be loved for the sweet, loyal companion he is. All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative. If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application available at www.rescueahart.org/adopt/cat-application. The application will put you in touch with a HART volunteer.
