Jack and Sherry came to Good Mews from a rural county shelter in hopes of finding a better chance at adoption. They had been at that facility for almost a year before coming into our care. Thankfully, they were in foster while there, as the shelter environment was very stressful for them as seniors. When they arrived at Good Mews, they also went straight into foster care. In their foster home, both Jack and Sherry started out shy and timid, but with time and patience they slowly began to trust their foster caregiver. Jack was the braver of the two, while Sherry has always been a bit more reserved and takes longer to warm up. They both enjoyed playtime though, especially chasing wand toys together. Now that they are at the shelter, they spend their time in our Transition room and have started making a few feline friends. Sherry still prefers to observe from a distance and isn’t usually the first to approach people, but Jack is happy to come right up and ask for attention. He loves pets and may even give you a little lick or a gentle love bite to show his affection. Jack and <a href="https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/63877fd0945ecb6a451bebf1/695fbd4a496136e31c0103f4">Sherry</a> are looking for a patient home that will give them the time they need to feel comfortable. With kindness and understanding, these two sweet seniors will reward their new family with quiet companionship and love.
