About Norma

Click apply to start the adoption process. Norma is a sweet young pup who traveled all the way from Mexico with her mom and two sisters, after spending her early life outdoors with minimal human interaction. Her mother resembles a small Wheaton Terrier with wiry hair, but Norma and her sisters sport smooth, short black coats, so their lineage remains a bit of a mystery! At around 6 months old and only 10lbs, Norma is expected to stay small as she matures. Thanks to careful preventative care, she has been fully vetted and treated for any bugs, despite not displaying any. While potty training is ongoing due to her outdoor beginnings, she is making promising progress. Future adopters should be aware that she may need some extra patience as she adjusts to house living. Norma has shown herself to be friendly and sociable with other dogs, enjoying the company of her foster siblings even if she is initially a bit shy. In her current foster home, she has been gently introduced to children (ages 8 and 12) and has behaved well. She has also interacted with a cat, expressing some vocal curiosity but no chasing behavior—indicating she could be suitable for a multi-pet household. Once her adoption is finalized, Norma will receive her spay surgery and microchip to get her ready for her new family. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
