About Tyson Longtime Resident!
URGENT! Tyson arrived at the shelter almost 2 years ago. He needs a new home ASAP! Tyson is a 3-year-old Cane Corso currently being held in a foster home. He has been at the shelter since May 14, 2024, and is ready for his new home. Pet ID: A1202465 Companion Animal Protection Services (CAPS), a national nonprofit based in Thousand Oaks, CA., is partnering with Kern County Animal Services in Bakersfield to find homes for high risk dogs, The shelter has more than 300 dogs and puppies in two metal warehouses with no outdoor runs. Dogs over five-months-old are at high risk for euthanasia because of lack of space and too many abandoned dogs in the community. Please contact CAPS if you are interested in adopting, rescuing or fostering, and we will make sure the shelter contacts you. They do not answer phones or respond often to voice messages due to understaffing. Foster homes must be in Kern County. The dogs are in Bakersfield, not Thousand Oaks. caps@caps-web.org *No phone calls, please. If you would like us to call you, please leave your phone number in an email. CAPS can arrange transportation if you are on the West Coast.
