Meet Hudson! - If you are looking for a companion that loves his people Hudson is your boy! He will become your shadow and follow you from room to room. - His favorite place to be is on your lap or on the couch next to you. - He walks well on a leash. He will just sit on the passenger seat with occasional peeks out the window - He goes to daycare daily and does fine with dogs of all sizes - There are 5 other small dogs in his foster home and he gets along well with all of them. He has even started to play a bit. He isn't the running a full speed kind of play. He will softly wrestle with a dog that invites him to play - He does like chewing on deer antlers or Yak chews - we've had a belly band on him in the house and he hasn't lifted his leg once. so one could guess he is potty trained . . or at least knows the routine here. he will learn at your house too. Basics: He is a neutered male guessed to be around 3 yrs old and weighs close to 16lbs. He is currently in a foster home in North Kansas City with a 7 yr old boy and 5 small dogs. Adoption Process: - STEP 1: Please fill out our adoption application: https://www.dayofthedogs.org/adoption-application - One of our team members will get back to you via phone. - Our dogs can be seen by appointment only. We do not have a facility at this time. Dogs are in foster homes or boarding - Adoption fee is $280. It helps to cover transport costs, spay/neuter, initial vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, and microchip. -We do not place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt. NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available. About Us: Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit. Since 2015 we have been dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland and the Kansas City area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Kansas City and NW Indiana areas.
