About Hank
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet handsome Hank! He is a loyal companion who enjoys car rides, relaxing afternoons, and shows wonderful manners—he almost never barks. This charming seven-year-old Boxador (a Boxer/Lab mix) weighs about 64 pounds and is just as sweet as his name suggests. Hank is playful and social. He has done beautifully living with another dog in the past and could enjoy a canine friend, though he may need a little patience as he settles in. While he hasn’t spent much time around cats, it’s worth noting his strong prey drive for smaller wildlife like rabbits and birds. Time outdoors is Hank’s favorite—sniffing, exploring, lounging in the sun, or cooling off in a doggie pool. He’s polite on leash, loves chasing tennis balls, and might even fetch for a few rounds. Although he started out camera shy, a few treats and some pool time quickly revealed his playful side and charm. Indoors, Hank is a calm and devoted sidekick who takes comfort in being close to his person. He’s polite in public, happy to share your bed, and keeps a steady, watchful presence around the home. Hank tends to bond faster with women but warms up with anyone who offers patience and kindness. He’s met children before and did well, but would be happiest with adults or older kids. Hank may seem reserved initially, but once his trust is earned (and with a few treats), you’ll get to enjoy his goofy grins, full-body wiggles, and easy-going friendship. He’s equal parts silly and mellow—a truly wonderful dog. Fun fact: Hank was born on February 11, making him an Aquarius—known for loyalty and loving a little adventure! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
