About Rocky

Rocky and his buddy Chase were abandoned in rural Gaston County and spent days waiting on the side of a road, hoping for someone to return. Finally, a Good Samaritan stepped in and brought them in safely. Rocky is about 8-9 months old, already a large boy at 54 pounds with a long frame and will likely grow even bigger. He has the looks and energy of an Australian cattle dog mix and is bright, eager, and affectionate. Currently, Rocky hasn’t had much training—he jumps up and sometimes grabs your arm like an oversized puppy seeking attention—but his willingness to learn is clear. He’s been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and is heartworm negative with prevention started. Rocky gets along with other dogs and children; he’s playful and craves affection from everyone around him. If you’re ready to give a social, energetic pup a second chance, he’s waiting in Kings Mountain, NC for his new family. Your new best friend is just one click away.
