Oakley is the sweetest boy who will follow you around like he is your shadow. If you are in a room, you guessed it, Oakley will be too. His foster mom says he is really independent and very smart. He knows “sit” and “get on your bed”. Walks are Oakley’s favorite thing. Currently, he goes on 3 to 4 walks a day. He is a pro at walking on a leash. He does know when on a walk, the term “slow down”. Oakley tolerates other dogs, but would probably prefer to be in a home as the only dog. He does like to chase cats and squirrels. He loves to be by your side and cuddle up. It is very shocking how sweet Oakley is after what he has lived through so far in his life. This handsome boy was found as a stray in a bad neighborhood. He was emaciated, and his ear was nearly severed. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport. *Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year. *Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption. *Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption. *All of our adopters are invited to join our “Alum Pupdates” Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
