This handsome pup is Lucky! He was surrendered to the shelter on 3/13 because his family is moving out of the country. Lucky has found himself in a very unlucky situation; you see, his former family didn't leave specific details about him. They mentioned he is house-trained, which is great news! They also noted that he is not good with dogs or cats. Most puppies at 6 months of age are still learning about the world. We suspect he hasn't been properly socialized with other animals. Puppies tend to play rough and need some boundaries, so perhaps his family didn't know much about dog body language and so they assumed he isn't good with other animals. The volunteers have enjoyed getting to know this little fellow, and describe him as very sweet, eager to please, and playful! If you have experience with puppies, please come meet Lucky! He could use a hero! Lucky is approximately 6 months old, and weighs 48 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, has been neutered, and did test negative for heartworms. He will be microchipped upon adoption.
