Life wasn't easy. I was always on the run, unsure of people, doing whatever I could to survive. It took a whole community to finally help bring me to safety they didn't give up on me, even when I was scared.</p> <p data-start="395" data-end="423">And I'm so glad they didn't.</p> <p data-start="425" data-end="598">Because not long after I was rescued, I found out I was very sick. I had something called TVT cancer.<br data-start="527" data-end="530" />If no one had stopped for me I don't know what would have happened.</p> <p data-start="600" data-end="653">But instead of being forgotten, I was given a chance.</p> <p data-start="655" data-end="791">I went through multiple rounds of chemotherapy. Some days were hard but I kept fighting. And the people around me kept believing in me.</p> <p data-start="793" data-end="836">And guess what? I won. I'm cancer free.</p> <p data-start="838" data-end="974">Now, I'm a whole new girl. I'm about 4 years old, and I've discovered how much I love life. I'm happy, playful, and I finally feel safe.</p> <p data-start="976" data-end="1020">But there's still one thing I'm dreaming of</p> <p data-start="1022" data-end="1037">A forever home.</p> <p data-start="1039" data-end="1196">A family who will love me, protect me, and remind me every day that my past is behind me.
