About Lil Fella
Lil Fella spent months in the shelter after being found alone in January. At first, the shelter left him anxious and unsure, but time and patient volunteers have helped him discover that people and the world aren’t so scary. He’s a young, medium-sized Labrador Retriever/Terrier mix, and these days he’s showing more of his personality, especially when he’s with other dogs. Lil Fella gets along well with friendly canine companions and enjoys group play—being part of that pack brings out his confidence. He’s making good progress on leash walks, bonds warmly with his volunteer friends, and continues learning how good it feels to trust and be loved. What Lil Fella needs now is a home that will help him keep building on his new confidence. He’d thrive in a place with other dogs, people who understand he may need some time to settle in, and lots of gentle encouragement. The shelter staff thinks he’s ready for a family to call his own.
