About Hawthorne
Hawthorne is a sharp-eyed observer who’d rather keep watch than jump into the middle of the action. He’s come a long way from his start in a TNR project at a business, and even though he’s still shy at first, once he comes out of his shell, he’ll approach for attention—always on his terms. You might spot him perched up high on a cat tree or shelf, quietly keeping tabs on the room, perfectly content to model from his vantage point. Food is a big motivator for Hawthorne—offer a treat and you might win him over quicker than you think. He enjoys a mix of crinkle balls, soft toys, and a good scratch post, but prefers predictability to chaos. Sudden noises or rough handling make him uneasy, so a calm, quiet home will suit him best. He gets along with other cats and can hold his own, although he does sometimes like to be the boss. Respectful kids are fine, but he’s not interested in being picked up. Healthy and microchipped, with vaccinations up to date, Hawthorne doesn’t come with any special care instructions. He simply needs someone who appreciates a cat who values his independence, but who comes around for pets and companionship when he’s ready. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
