Hi there! My name is Cricket, and I'm very excited to meet you! I am a Siberian Husky and weigh about 52 lbs. I am considered a medium breed dog. I am pretty smart! At the shelter I am practicing how to sit, wait, and stay off of people. I am still working on my manners, though, so I'll need some patience with my new family! I am full of energy and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy. I love to play out in the yard and really enjoy my toys! I also walk pretty good on a leash! I am showing signs of being potty trained here at the shelter. My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with other large dogs. I have not yet met smaller dogs here at the shelter, but I'm very high energy and may startle slower going dogs! When meeting dogs in a new home, I would do best with a slow introduction. Because of my energy levels, it would be best for me to meet any kids here at the shelter before I go home with them. While I am smaller for my breed, I tend to get excited and may be a little rowdy with small children! You can visit me at the Pet Adoption Center on weekdays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
