Pauchie is an 11-year-old cuddly companion looking for her forever home. She is a gentle and affectionate cat who brings a calm, comforting presence wherever she goes. Pauchie is a quiet lady who saves her soft little meows for mealtime, and she has the sweetest way of greeting you at the door by throwing her head back in a silent, joyful hello when you come home. She enjoys the simple things in life and is happiest perched in a cat tower watching birds, squirrels, and the world go by outside the window. When it is time to relax, she loves settling into a cozy spot or stretching out in a warm patch of sunlight. Pauchie absolutely adores head scratches and will happily purr while kneading your lap. With only a few teeth left, she often has a tiny bit of her tongue peeking out, which only adds to her charm. Pauchie has a playful side as well. She loves catnip and will roll over for belly scratches after rubbing her face in it, and she enjoys chasing pom poms when the mood strikes. Her energy level is on the lower side right now, and she would benefit from gentle encouragement to play as she works toward a healthier weight. She is currently being fostered in an apartment with one adult and another cat, though she tends to keep to herself and enjoys her own space. She spends much of her time napping in the bedroom but likes to explore when she is supervised. Pauchie would do best in a home where she can have plenty of companionship without feeling overwhelmed. She loves being near her person, sitting close by rather than on top of you. She has experience living with both dogs and cats and could adapt well, but she would also be perfectly content as the only pet. She has a sweet history with children and would likely enjoy a gentle young companion again. Pauchie is overweight and currently weighs about 18 pounds, so she will need a low-calorie wet food diet and a bit of encouragement to stay active. She only has a few teeth and has an upcoming dental appointment, but this does not slow her down or cause her discomfort.
