About Walt Willow
Walt is a 5 month old, dignified orange tabby ready to bring joy to your home! Everyone loves Walt! He's a chill guy with a purr that starts up in an instant. His whole sibling crew is super friendly and confident, yet Walt manages to stand out with his dignified and independent streak. When you think of orange kittens, does fun and friendly come to mind? Well, Walt is both of those, but there's maturity about him that always surprises his human friends. He has a calm personality and all you have to do is make eye contact with those big copper-colored eyes and his purr starts right up! Being the calmer kitten out of his siblings, Walt is just as likely to opt for a nap as he is for playtime -- must be that maturity talking again. He likes to wrestle with the other cats and will play with you, but isn't too much for solo play. When it comes to naps, Walt is the last one to seek out a lap. He does like snuggling, especially if picked up (be warned, he's hefty for a kitten and looks like he could become a big cat) but he's not first in line for a lap. This may change when there's less competition for lap space! His current favorite place to nap is on the bathroom rug. If you ever can't find him, check behind the shower curtain and 99% of the time, there are some little orange toes peeking out. If you are looking for a young cat who has settled down and grown out of the high-energy kitten stage, Walt may be the one! Walt and his siblings -- Winter, Winston, and Willow -- were abandoned by mom at just over a week old. Luckily, they were found by a Good Samaritan, bottle-fed, transitioned to kitten food, and eventually made their way to Pet Haven where they are now ready for their forever homes. Walt is currently living with his siblings (two brothers, one sister) and three of the foster's resident adult cats in a single family home. He lives with a foster mom and dad and their two college aged kids. He takes the comings and goings in stride and doles out the purrs with ease. He gets along with everyone, people or pets! Walt may prefer a slightly quieter home as he is a quiet and calm cat and is not the most playful, nor is he a big explorer. Walt and his siblings were exposed to dogs prior to coming to Pet Haven and did fine with them. They may adjust to a dog or another cat fine with slow introductions. He would be fine with older kids, teens, or adults. He would definitely like to have a feline friend to wrestle and snuggle with. And don't forget the bathroom mats! Walt will need to go home with one of his siblings (check out Winter, Winston, and Willow!) or to a home with an active, young resident cat who can show them the ropes as they grow up. If you're looking for a distinguished orange gentleman to join your crew, Walt is your guy! -- -- -- -- -- There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown.
