'My name is Teddy. I am a soft teddy bear who loves to cuddle and be petted and brushed. I am very shy at first, but once I get to know you, we will love each other. My favorite bedtime snacks are the Seafood Delectables by Hartz. I also love Temptations and Purina Cat Chow. I love to play with a peacock feather and never want to give it back! I've recently learned to play with string and other cat toys. I just live with my senior family these days but would love to have another cat around to play with. I love the people who care for me too much to hurt them. If I don't like something or am scared, I simply wiggle away and hide.' Teddy grew up living outside in a yard and garage with 4-6 other siblings and friends, and Teddy got along well with all of them. However his caretaker developed dementia and we noticed the cats were not getting fed regularly. We took Teddy in to try to rehome him (as he was the sweetest and prettiest) and neighbors are caring for the other animals until new owners move in. Now he is living an indoor life with us. To our surprise, Teddy was litter box trained, and has never had an accident outside the box in the 6 months we've cared for him. Teddy has never bitten or scratched us, nor has he ever growled at us. He purrs like mad whenever attention is paid to him. We don't know his exact age, but estimate he might be 8-10 years old. 'I have gorgeous long hair, gray on top and white on my chest, tummy and legs. I love being combed and promise not to scratch or bite.' Teddy was neutered as a kitten, and has had a recent medical exam and shots, with no problems found and no cat diseases like FELV / FIV. Teddy is in need of a new home not because we haven't already fallen in love with him, but because the existing cat in our household hates having him in the house. Teddy keeps trying to make friend and our cat hisses & scratches. Our cat has FIV, so we don't want Teddy to get it. Lastly, we will be moving soon to Georgia, and don't want to leave Teddy behind. But can you imagine that long a road trip with 2 unhappy cats? Teddy loves attention. So he would thrive in either a home where people are around most of the day, or a household with other cats. Teddy can be either an indoor only or an indoor/outdoor cat once he is familiar with the yard. He rarely strayed from the yard at his original home. Teddy is in great shape and has no illnesses and no medical conditions. He was tested for FELV/FIV and pronounced Negative.
