Copper is a 1½-year-old male Bluetick Hound mix, owner give-up. He is good with other dogs, cats, and children. He is also housebroken. Copper has a big bark and is highly vocal and intelligent. He can be a little jumpy at times when excited. He has been with us since March 12th. Bluetick Hounds are known for their friendly, energetic, and intelligent nature. They are affectionate, alert, and eager to participate in family activities. Their vocal nature means they are quite expressive and will alert you to any happenings around them — their big bark is part of their charm but also means they thrive in homes where vocalization isn’t an issue. They tend to be quite smart and respond well to training, but their high energy levels require regular exercise and mental stimulation.
