Meet Chief This sweet 1-year-old, 20 lb Beagle mix came to us from rural Missouri and is still learning how to navigate this big, new world. Everything is a little overwhelming right now-but underneath that shy exterior is a gentle, loving boy just waiting to feel safe. Chief may be timid at first, especially with new people, and can still shy away from touch. He's looking for someone patient and understanding-someone who will let him go at his own pace and show him that humans can be kind. The best part? You can already see glimpses of the dog he's going to become. He absolutely thrives around other dogs and gains confidence from calm, friendly companions. He's very tolerant-even with bigger personalities-and would likely do best in a home with another dog to help show him the ropes.
