Buddy came to us after his human passed away, whom he had lived with his whole life. Understandably, Buddy’s whole world is upside down and he’s having a tough time adjusting to all these changes. Buddy is very shut down and nervous about all the new sounds and smells of sanctuary life. He can be timid at first, but within 5 minutes, he’s leaned into you giving full cuddles and kisses and flashing those puppy dog eyes for more pets. Buddy can be shy when meeting other dogs, but grew up alongside another one and does well with time and certainly doesn’t instigate any trouble. While we still have more to learn about Buddy as he starts to feel more settled, what we do know for sure is that he is a very sweet, Velcro dog, looking for a safe and steady human bond like the one he knew and misses.
