AvailableTick is a large, mixed breed terrier with a short, white and tan coat. He’s an adult male at around 3 years and 10 months old, currently in West Jefferson, OH. He doesn’t have special needs, but he’ll benefit from a family accustomed to his big personality and particular lifestyle preferences.
About Tick
Tick is a big-headed, bulldozer-built dog with the personality of a stubborn toddler—he knows what he wants and isn’t shy about telling you. Weather is not Tick’s thing: any rain or snow gets a dramatic pout, and he’d rather stay indoors at a balmy 70 degrees. Once inside, he’ll throw himself across the sturdiest couch or bed you have, but a pile of blankets also meets his approval. Furniture is Tick’s playground, and he embraces it with the reckless enthusiasm of a 5-year-old left unsupervised in a bouncy house. He’s food-motivated—treats are a must, and if he thinks you’re holding out, the whole house will know about it. His idea of communication leans loud, not subtle. Butt scratches and long rolls in the grass are near the top of his request list, and ideally, you’ll offer both. Tick enjoys other dogs and is open to playmates, although he prefers a friendly meet-and-greet first to make sure the energy is right. As for cats—he’s not a fan. Kids? He loves them. Tick is house trained and already knows sit, down, and wait (and maybe more, but at this point, he’s decided you can take his word for it). He’s that confident. Born on 07/03/2022, Tick is a Cancer, which probably explains his demanding taste in climate control and deep loyalty. Tick’s got his shots, is neutered, and, for good measure, his adoption fee is covered. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
