About Teddy
Meet Teddy! Teddy is a 3-year, 9-month-old, 67-pound boy who is used to life in a home and knows how to be a great companion. He's a smart, capable dog who really enjoys learning and working with his person. Teddy is both house trained and crate trained, which helps make the transition into a new home much smoother. He already knows "sit," is very treat motivated, and truly enjoys training sessions. With his intelligence and eagerness to learn, he's the kind of dog who thrives when given opportunities to use his brain. He does very well in public settings and has shown he can go out and about while showing his best self. Whether it's an outing around town or a new environment to explore, Teddy handles it with confidence. Teddy has a moderate amount of energy and does best with an experienced owner who understands the importance of providing both mental and physical stimulation. He would love a home where he can enjoy things like food puzzles, training games, or playing with a flirt pole. He would also enjoy going on hikes and outdoor adventures with his person. On leash, Teddy can pull, but he's a smart boy who would likely improve quickly with consistent training. He also rides well in the car, making him a great companion for outings and adventures. Teddy is listed as dog selective because he can come on strong and play a bit enthusiastically, so he would need the right canine match who can handle his energy and play style. For someone looking for an intelligent, trainable dog who enjoys learning, staying active, and sharing adventures, Teddy is ready to be a loyal and engaging companion. As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members. If bringing a resident dog for a dog to dog test, please bring proof of Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. To meet your new pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
