About Mochi
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Meet Mochi, affectionately known as Mochi Bear, a fluffy little bear of a Chow Chow just 1-2 years old. While he may be cautious for the first few minutes with new people and situations, he quickly transforms into a big, goofy love bug once he gets comfortable. Mochi’s endearing snorting sounds when he’s happy are just one of his many adorable quirks. He absolutely lights up around his favorite people and dogs, showing his excitement with joyful snorts, wagging tail, and irresistible zoomies—sometimes even chasing his own tail! Mochi gets along wonderfully with cats (he currently lives with one) and his two foster dog brothers, sharing excellent dog social skills and friendliness with everyone he meets. He’s playful and enjoys following his person from room to room, loving face, ear, bum, and tummy rubs—and even a good hug now and again. If you brush his long, thick coat with a gentle touch, he’ll be in heaven. Mochi knows basic commands like sit and down and is working on learning paw and come. He takes treats with impressive gentleness. Mochi rides well in the car, though a homeopathic remedy for nausea is recommended before trips as he sometimes gets car sick. He’s crate and leash trained, loving the chance to discover new places on walks. His favorite treats are fish-based, and he’s a fan of Benebones and the Chuck It Ball. Mochi thrives in cold weather, relishing any chance to play in the snow. His ideal home would have an experienced adopter familiar with Chows or dominant breeds, plus a fenced yard for plenty of safe, happy zoomies. If you find his quirky snorts as charming as his rescuers do, Mochi may just be the perfect addition to your family! Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
