About Espi
Meet Espi, a gentle bulldog who is learning the world has kind people left in it. She’s about 5 to 6 years old and has survived real neglect—found extremely underweight and abandoned. Espi is sweet at heart, but she’s shy and needs a little time to decide she’s safe. She responds best when you give her space at first. Sudden movements or rushing her can make Espi nervous, but once she trusts you, she’ll reach out for pets in her own way—often by offering her paw. House trained and crate trained, Espi gets along well with other dogs. She isn’t pushy about play and seems to prefer just coexisting at her own pace. Food is her real motivator—she loves treat toss games, though she’s still working on the "gentle" part of taking snacks from your hand. A calm, adult-only home that can commit to moving slowly and respecting her boundaries is best for her. Espi can live with other respectful dogs, or do just fine on her own. Patience and understanding will help her bloom fully. If you’re the type to give a dog space and truly let them decide when to trust, Espi could be the missing piece you’re looking for. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
