One year old Mama Boomchickapop and her Popcorn boys Jolly Time and Jiffy Pop were sprung from the shelter on 2/19. Mama was confused at first but soon realized this was the best day of her life. Her freedom ride to our foster home and rescue. She soon became one of the most affectionate cats we’ve ever known. Giving us head butts of love, coming to us to be pet and for lots of affection and attention, and then heading back to take care of her young babies who needed to be fed and mothered. Now that her two little boys are eight weeks old and independent, Mama Boomchickapop is getting to be a kitten herself. Playing with toys, chasing springs and wand dangling feathers, and popcorn of course, watching CAT TV on YouTube and out the window, and lots of snuggling with us humans. Next Wednesday, 3/25 she will be getting spayed as well as receiving her vaccine booster and microchip. She will then be ready to go home. Boom has her rabies vaccine, has been screened for parasites and dewormed multiple times, and is FIV and Feline Leukemia negative. She is absolutely purrfect. The shelter tells us that she lived with other cats in her first home and everyone got along beautifully. Boomchickapop’s adoption fee is $50.
