Hi, my name is Daphne. I am from Alabama. From her foster: Daphne is a sweet, affectionate little velcro dog who truly loves her people. She may take a little time to feel comfortable in new environments, but once she settles in, her big personality shines through. At home she's confident, devoted, and happily convinced that life revolves around her. She'll follow you from room to room, hop into your lap whenever the opportunity presents itself (even if you're holding something else), and would very much like to be included in dinner time conversations, especially if they involve food. Because Daphne can be a bit enthusiastic about attention and personal space, she would likely do best in a home without small children. Daphne has made wonderful progress in foster care. She has gone from being nervous about going outside to learning to head to the door when she needs to potty and happily running out - weather permitting. Deep snow and strong winds are still a bit suspicious in her opinion. She's shown interest in playing with other dogs, though her style can be a little pushy, so any canine siblings should be tolerant and easygoing. Most of all, Daphne is a loving companion who adores cuddles and being close to her person. She's looking for someone patient and kind to continue helping her grow into the best dog she can be and in return, she'll give you plenty of devotion and snuggles. From the Vet: Daphne came into the care of The BB along with several other dogs from a situation with poor living conditions. Her skin needed some help and this has much improved over her time in rescue. At the time of her spay, she needed to have a mammary mass removed. Those results showed a benign growth so no further care is needed. We wish her all the best in her new home!
