Shyanne (also known as Annie) was left with her two older pups to fend for herself after her owners moved out, heavily pregnant and facing the world on her own. Out of the Woods stepped in just in time. Annie went to foster, delivered six healthy puppies in a matter of days, and raised them beautifully. Her puppies are adopted—now it’s Annie’s chance to find lasting stability. Annie is incredibly gentle and sweet, though years of outdoor living make her cautious indoors at first. Given a little reassurance, she settles in fast; the foster often finds her curled on a living room chair. She’s house trained and crate trained, but leash walking is very new to her. She’s highly food motivated, so consistency and treats will make walks easier. She’s been fully vetted, spayed, is heartworm negative, and stays current on preventatives. Car rides make her queasy for now—a little practice and patience may help. Annie’s at a healthy weight around 42 pounds, about two and a half years old, and uses a dog door easily. She gets along well with dogs and loves to play, so a home with another friendly dog would suit her. Annie also does fine with children.
