Meet Birk! Him and his friend lived together under a tarp in a kind Samaritan's backyard before the pair came to us. When he originally arrived to our rescue, he's been diagnosed with severe gingivitis (stomatitis) that resulted in us having to extract all his teeth. There is currently no cure for stomatitis, though many cats see remission with teeth extractions. Birk has received antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications to reduce redness. Despite this disorder, this sweet and friendly boy loves pets and ear scratches! He can be a bit selective with other cats, especially other males but he loves his human companions! He also loves his scratching posts and would need a home with lots of cat towers and things to scratch!
