About Donegal

Donegal came into rescue as a stray after his time at South LA Shelter ran out. No one claimed him, so he arrived as a Frosted Face on March 17th. At 10 years old and around 13 lbs, he's lived with a foster for an extended period, which has helped everyone get to know him well. Donegal walks politely on leash and ignores most dogs, though sometimes he’ll let them know to keep their distance with a short bark or growl. He responds to redirection and settles easily, especially with treats or just a little space. He’s content at a coffee shop or brewery, happy to relax on a lap, and enjoys lounging on a blanket in the park. He’s house trained, sleeps quietly in his crate overnight, and can be left alone for several hours without trouble or any signs of separation anxiety. His favorite things are head rubs, chest scratches, and following his people around. Give him slow and gentle handling, particularly near his head and face, where he can be sensitive, and he’ll gradually lean in and seek more affection as trust builds. Donegal does best with routines and a patient household willing to let him set the pace. This sweet, sensitive Miniature Poodle is ready for a quiet place where he can feel secure and loved.
