Irish Bailey is an 1-year old, 79 lb, male, Terrier/Bull Terrier mix. Irish Bailey is currently located in South Texas and will be transported to his new home. This big boy with the cute ears is Irish Bailey, a sweetheart of a dog who believes that good things come in big packages, not just small ones! Bailey came to us after he was rescued running loose along the highway. He was injured, but he healed quickly and is a now a strapping lad! Bailey is a friendly guy, and shared his first foster home with the resident dog, some foster cats and kids, and he did fine with everyone, but wasn't getting much attention. He moved to a more active foster home and has gotten the training, activity and attention he needs. (A tired dog is a happy dog, right?) Bailey is enjoying life in his new foster home, he became friends with the resident dogs and really enjoys the fenced in backyard. Irish Bailey used to be a bit bossy with the other dogs at times, but he has settled into the pack and enjoys playing and napping alongside them. A doggy companion who was older and calm but still playful would be excellent for this young dog to learn from. He enjoys playing tug of war, fetch, going on long walks or jogging next to you on a bike. Bailey would definitely enjoy some nice walks or leisurely hikes where he could get some fresh air and sunshine and burn off that young dog energy. He's a strong pup and has undergone obedience training to learn proper behavior and basic commands, and would benefit from an adopter who can handle that strength. Bailey is potty trained and crate trained too, though he enjoys keeping his foster mom company on the bed. This guy is happy to be safe and loved, and though the breed can be a bit on the stubborn side, he is a smart and loving dog, and he just needs a little patience and a good human leader he can snuggle with, follow and devote his doggy heart to them. Our organization only adopts within the United States and Canada. Faith and Hope is an established rescue group based in Texas but delivers to multiple states on the East and West Coast. All dogs and cats are rescued from the state of Texas to be transported to Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Connecticut, Virginia, Maryland, and others, with placement in their adoptive family’s homes. Our $500 adoption donation includes all core vaccinations (DHPP, rabies, spay/neuter, microchip and transportation costs.
