She’s a happy, affectionate little companion who is blossoming more each day and ready to bring love, laughter, and cuddles into her forever home. Daily Routine Whoopie Pie starts her day around 7:00 a.m. with a potty break outside, followed by breakfast around 7:30. She eats in her crate (she’s a bit of a foodie and curious about other dogs’ meals!) and enjoys her kibble much more with a little warm water and topper. Around 10:00 a.m., she heads back outside for another potty break and some playtime. She loves interacting with other dogs— especially chasing them around— but if the tables turn and they chase her, she’ll adorably duck under a chair for cover. Throughout the day, she hangs out at home, relaxing and observing, and she’s comfortable being left alone for a few hours, especially with other pets around. In the evening, she settles into full cuddle mode and is happiest curled up on the couch with her person. Bedtime is typically between 10:00–11:00 p.m., and she sleeps soundly through the night— preferably snuggled right next to (or on top of!) you. Personality & Affection Whoopie Pie is incredibly loving and affectionate. When she first arrived, she was a little nervous, but once she felt safe, her sweet personality really came through. Now she’s a total lap dog who loves to jump up, give kisses, and soak up affection. She’s not a Velcro dog— she doesn’t need to follow you everywhere— but she enjoys being near her people and bonding in her own gentle way. She’s observant, curious, and has the cutest habit of tilting her head as she tries to understand new things. Play Style & Energy She has a nice balance of playful and relaxed energy. She enjoys playtime with other dogs and exploring the yard but isn’t overly hyper. After some activity, she’s more than happy to lounge and cuddle. One adorable quirk— she sometimes kneads and suckles on blankets like a kitten,. It’s both endearing and a reminder of her sensitive, comfort-loving nature. Social Life: Dogs, Cats & Kids Whoopie Pie does great with other dogs and would likely thrive in a home with a canine companion. She currently lives with multiple medium-to-large dogs and gets along well with all of them, though she tends to feel most comfortable with smaller dogs. She’s also been around cats—initially curious, she now mostly ignores them. With kids, she does best with calm, gentle interactions. She was a bit nervous around louder or more energetic children but warmed up nicely to a quieter, dog-savvy child who approached her gently. Leash Skills & Adventures Whoopie Pie is doing well on leash and enjoys her walks, though she’s still building confidence and may occasionally hesitate. She doesn’t bark at other dogs on walks and responds well to positive reinforcement. She’s also been on car rides and has made great progress, though she can still get a bit carsick— this is improving with time and exposure. Home Manners & Training Whoopie Pie is house trained and quickly picked up her routine after a couple of initial accidents. She understands that outside is the place to go potty and does well when given regular opportunities. She’s crate-trained for mealtimes and does well with structure. She’s not destructive but may chew paper if bored and shows some mild puppy teething behaviors (blankets are a favorite!). She may bark occasionally— such as when hearing the mail carrier, neighbor dogs, or when she knows you’re just outside the door— but she’s not excessively vocal. Why We Love Whoopie Pie Whoopie Pie is the definition of a sweet companion. She’s affectionate without being demanding, playful without being overwhelming, and has a gentle, loving spirit that makes her incredibly easy to adore. Whether she’s curling up next to you, giving soft kisses, or tilting her head in curiosity, she brings joy to everyday moments. She’s the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart—and keeps it. If you’re looking for a devoted little companion with a tender heart and a playful spark, Whoopie Pie might just be your perfect match.
