While it doesn’t have a widely known meaning, it sounds like a happy little dance... which is exactly what your heart will do when you meet her! Owala is a 3-year-old, 54-pound cuddle bug with a heart as soft as her ears. She’s the kind of dog who’s ready to trade in the chaos of the shelter for a cozy couch, a warm blanket and a human who appreciates the art of doing absolutely nothing (except maybe snack breaks). She’s got that low-to-medium energy vibe, think “Netflix and nap” with a side of “sudden zoomies when the grass hits just right.” She walks well on a harness (especially after she’s had her potty break, priorities, people!), and while she may pull a bit when nature calls, she’s otherwise a polite little lady. Owala came to us as a stray, so her past is a bit of a mystery. She can be a little startled by quick movements, but she’s never shown any aggression, just a gentle soul figuring out the world. She’s likely potty trained, but may need a refresher course in home life (she’s a fast learner, especially if snacks are involved). Speaking of snacks, Owala LOVES food. Puzzle toys? Treat games? She’s all in. Fetch? Not so much. But she’ll fetch your heart and keep it forever. 💖 She’s a fan of ear scratches, belly rubs and all the cuddles you can spare. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who’s equal parts silly and sweet, Owala is your girl.
