About Winston
Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today. Meet Winston! He is a 2-3 year old, large-sized Border Collie mix with a stunning yellow-tan and white coat of medium length. Winston’s journey has brought him from life as a stray to the care of a loving shelter. He is a sweet and energetic boy who needs plenty of exercise and would thrive in an active home. While he can be a bit stubborn when meeting new people, Winston quickly warms up and becomes a devoted companion to those he trusts. Winston does try his best to keep his area clean and seems to have experience living in a home, but is still working on achieving full house training. He gets along well with most other dogs, but a meet-and-greet is recommended to ensure a good match with future canine siblings. Adoptions at Columbiana County Dog Pound & Adoption Center are done in person, and every dog, including Winston, receives important vetting such as current vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, microchip, and dog license as part of the adoption fee. The center encourages prospective adopters to consider the foster-to-adopt program if you want to make sure the fit is right for your family before finalizing. Please note, all paperwork and contracts must be completed at the shelter, and adopters need to be willing to travel to the Lisbon, OH location for the process. Volunteers are always welcome to spend time with the dogs, helping them become even more adoptable. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
