Hi there! My name is Marmalade. I’m a 1-year-old girl who was found as a stray on 1/30/26. A kind person carried me to the shelter to get help. I was really scared of the loud box thing (I think humans call it a carrier), and in my panic I tried to escape and accidentally gave him a little “nom.” Because of that scary start, I’m looking for a calm and understanding home where I can feel safe and take things at my own pace. Here’s what would help me succeed: • No small children — I do best in a quieter environment • Other cats are okay, as long as they aren’t dominant. My foster sibling Sully helps me feel safe • A human who understands the 3-3-3 rule and will give me time to decompress and adjust Right now I’m still a little shy and not quite ready to meet everyone just yet... but with patience and kindness, I think I’ll be ready very soon. Once I feel safe, I have a very sweet side. I love being brushed, and full-body rubs are definitely my love language. ?? My foster family will be away March 20 – March 29, and we’re hoping to have me ready for the adoption floor by then so I can start meeting the people who might become my forever family.
