Hello my name is Mack, I'm from Minnesota! Hi my name's Mack, my foster family lives to call me Macaroni! I am a fun, sweet, playful puppy that loves people and other dogs. I get along great with all dogs but my my senior friends think I'm a little bit obnoxious since I really want to play! I am usually pretty quiet as long as I'm around my people and have gotten enough exercise, but when I get bored I like to let my fosters know! I'm learning to walk nicely on a leash and my foster mom says I'm well on my way to being a great walking companion! I really like to chew, so I'm hoping my new family will get me lot of chew toys and bones that way I don't get into trouble chewing things I shouldn't! Medical Notes: When Mack first arrived at rescue, he was experiencing a urinary obstruction that was suspected to be caused by a bladder stone. Fortunately, no stone was found, but testing did reveal crystals in his urine. He was medically managed for a period of time; however, he continued to experience urinary leakage. To give Mack the best possible outcome, he was evaluated by a specialist and underwent corrective surgery for a pelvic bladder. We're happy to share that he has recovered well from surgery and is currently doing great! Because of his history, Mack may be more prone to urinary incontinence as he ages. This simply means he may need monitoring for urinary health and possibly supportive care in the future. Regular veterinary check-ups, a urinary-friendly diet if recommended by your veterinarian, and close observation for any changes will help keep him comfortable and healthy.
