About Nenita
Nenita, affectionately called Nene, is a gentle soul with plenty of love to give. She's around 2 years old and on the petite side for a pit bull mix, weighing about 45 lbs. Nene starts out reserved—she needs a little patience and kindness to feel secure—but once she warms up, you’ll see an affectionate, loyal companion who adores her people. Tennis balls, Frisbees, and stuffed toys are her favorite ways to play, and she lights up when she has a fenced yard to call her own. Nene is very food motivated (hot dogs will win her trust in no time), and using snacks helps both with bonding and with her ongoing training. She’s house trained and calmly lets you put on her collar and harness when it’s adventure time. For other dogs, Nenita does best with gradual, proper introductions—she’s dog selective but can coexist with the right match. She’d prefer a home with older kids who can respect her space as she gets comfortable. Her compatibility with cats isn’t known. If you have the patience for her gentle spirit to blossom and want a best friend who will repay your kindness tenfold, Nene just might be the one. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
