The name’s Chopper, but my foster mom usually calls me Chocolate Chip, Chip-Chip, Chippy, Handsome Boy, and "Look at those eyes". So we can land on a new name if you want. I’m a fun-loving pup who LOVES to play! Toys and chasing are my favorite and I’ll happily run around until my legs say it’s time for a break — and then I transform into a big cuddle bug. One day I think I’ll be an excellent fetch partner, but for now I’m practicing by chasing around my brothers. I do really well in my crate. I settle in quickly and don’t cry much. Sometimes I wake up overnight and give a little whimper, but I calm back down pretty fast. I’m also pretty good at balancing hangout time with some independent exploring. My foster family includes my brother Boston (from my litter), two older Labs, and two cats. I’m still trying to figure out the cats. Sometimes I feel the urge to chase them… but they’re pretty good at reminding me who’s boss with a quick bop! I’m a very curious boy, so if a door is open I might wander off to investigate the next room. I also really enjoy drinking water and may try to sneak a few extra sips if no one is watching. Because of that, my foster mom keeps me on a solid routine so that I can stay accident-free overnight. I am working on crate training and making great strides settling down at night! My foster mom thinks I would be the perfect match for a more active family that wants to include me in adventures and playtime. I also love having older dog siblings and follow their lead really well. Plus, I’m very food motivated, which means I’m excited to learn and will do great with continued training.
