Shadow’s story is a special one. For the past three years, she survived on her own in what was believed to be a feral colony. Before the ice storms earlier this year, she was brought into a Juliet’s House foster home, where she is now safe, warm, and thriving. What everyone quickly discovered is that Shadow isn’t feral at all—she’s simply shy and needed time to feel safe. Once she realized she could trust her foster family, her sweet personality began to shine. Shadow loves gentle scratches and happily rolls over for belly rubs from the people she trusts. She is still a cautious girl and will need a patient adopter who will give her time to settle in and continue building confidence. In the right environment, she blossoms and clearly enjoys attention and affection. Shadow would do best as an only pet in a quiet home where she can relax and be the center of someone’s world. She also has a playful side and especially enjoys batting around her toy mice.
