About Marcia
Meet Marcia Brady of the Brady Bunch puppies! Marcia is a Husky/German Shepherd mix.(DNA test has been done!) who is currently 9 weeks old and growing fast. She already weighs about 15 pounds, and we expect she’ll be a large dog when fully grown. Marcia has a big personality and absolutely loves to play. She adores other dogs and would do best in a home with a social, puppy-friendly adult dog to help show her the ropes. Because she’s an enthusiastic little pup, she may do best with larger dogs, as she can sometimes be a bit much for smaller or less social ones. Like most puppies her age, Marcia is still working through some typical puppy habits. She’s learning that biting during play, jumping up on you, and chewing everything in sight aren’t always appreciated! Her foster family is working on these things, but her new home should be ready to continue that training. She’s also very talented at finding things on the floor—especially socks and small toys, which can be dangerous if swallowed—so puppy-proofing will definitely be a bust before she goes home. Bigger, more durable toys are the safest choice for her! Marcia has been started on basic obedience, crate training, leash/harness training, and potty training. She’s doing pretty well with potty training so far, though she still has the occasional accident, which is very normal for her age. She’s also had a great start with socialization. Marcia has been around people, dogs, cats, some farm animals, children, and even loud noises like trains and tractors. For such a young puppy, she handles new experiences really well and has a wonderful, confident personality. A little about her background: Marcia and her siblings were found near a dumpster when they were just one day old. Her and her sister, Carol, have bottle raised together by one of our fosters. Some of the Brady Bunch puppies were affected by rickets, but Marcia is not one of the affected pups. She has been examined by multiple veterinarians and is doing great. That said, we always like to be transparent. Because she is part German Shepherd, a breed that can sometimes have hip and joint concerns, her future family should plan to keep her on vet-approved supplements and good nutrition as she grows to help support healthy development. Even with that bit of background, Marcia is just like any other happy puppy her age. She’s playful, affectionate, curious, and ready to explore the world with her future family! Marcia is looking for a home that’s ready for the fun, chaos, and love that come with raising a puppy—and she can’t wait to meet her furever family! Adoption fee is $450. She is dewormed, started on vaccines and will be going on a spay contract. We will cover the cost to spay her at the low cost clinic we use in McMinnville between 10 months and 1 year of age. If an owner choose to fix at their vet that cost would be their responsibility but it most be done and proof provided at 1 years old.
