About Nike
Nike made her way from Azerbaijan, a place where dogs often have a tough time surviving on their own, all the way to New York, NY in search of a home. At 2 1/2 years old, she's a big, cheerful, and outgoing girl who greets dogs and people alike with a mellow, loving spirit. With her even temperament, Nike fits right in the middle—not pushy, not timid, just confident and relaxed. She’s not reactive and adapts well to her surroundings. Nike's never been around cats, but given her background as a Caucasian Sheepdog mix, she may do well—her foster is waiting on a video update. She hasn’t lived with young children but, since she tends to be laid back, she should adjust with proper introductions. She’s playful, even goofy, and always up for a walk or adventure. Take her with you; she’ll be happy to tag along. She comes spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Nike’s journey to the U.S. wasn’t cheap, so her adoption fee is $1000 to help offset the international travel cost. Foster-to-adopt is possible if you’re not sure yet—she just wants a chance to meet you. Ideally, she’ll be in a home with someone often present—work from home, stay-at-home parent, or retired. Give this gentle giant a shot at the love and comfort she’s missed. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
