About Bruno

They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Meet Bruno, a distinguished and sweet-natured 13-year-old, 90-pound male Great Pyrenees mix who is ready to find a loving home for his golden years. Scooped up after being found alone last summer, Bruno has settled into his foster home with grace and charm. He enjoys the company of both big and little dogs and occasionally joins the big dogs for a romp in the yard. When he desires tranquility, he finds a quiet, out-of-the-way spot to relax. Bruno is gentle and friendly with people, although tall men may need to give him time with slow introductions due to his wariness. Any children in his new home should be respectful of his senior status and avoid crawling on him. His foster family has noted that Bruno is very laid-back and enjoys a good adventure. He excels on a leash, loads easily in the car, and absolutely loves being brushed, although he's not as enthusiastic about baths. Despite his age, he can still jump over a 30-inch gate and is mostly house trained. He may try to avoid going outside during storms, which can sometimes lead to accidents inside. Bruno barks occasionally but not excessively. He has not been neutered, following veterinary advice against surgery at his age. Bruno is currently receiving slow kill heartworm treatment, and his adopters will be provided the medication needed to continue his care. He is up to date on vaccines and is looking for a family to shower him with love and attention. Bruno is being fostered in North Texas, and while out-of-state adopters are welcome, they will need to arrange transport themselves. If you are looking for a devoted companion who will fill your home with love and warmth, Bruno could be the perfect match for you. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
