Stanley (Stan) is about 7 years old and came to us after his dad lost his home. As you can probably tell by the photos, Stan is completely blind. Our vet believes that Stan was born blind or lost his vision when he was a very small kitten from an infection. This means that this resilient cat has lived his entire life without sight, so he gets around great! This sweet guy loves pets (just warn him first with gentle words and rubbing your fingers together), wet food, comfy beds, catnip, and noisy toys. He uses his litter box perfectly. He has lived with other cats his whole life (Dipper and Mabel), but he would also be happy as an only cat. The perfect home for Stan: 1. Fairly tidy and unchanging. If you aren’t the best about putting things away or like to rearrange furniture, it will be tricky for him to get around. 2. Stable. It takes time for blind cats to learn new environments, so if you move homes frequently, he may not be the best fit. 3. With a family willing to keep him in one room while he learns where his litter and food are, and then slowly introduce him to the rest of the home. 4. No small children or rambunctious other pets that may startle him.
