About Pepper
Pepper is about two years old and weighs in the 35-40 lb range, fitting right in the sweet spot for a medium-sized German Shepherd mix. She came from a Central Valley shelter where she was out of time, but now she's safe and getting a second chance. Pepper is a natural on leash—no pulling, just a curious nose to the ground. She gets along well with new people, other dogs, and is also fine with kids. Crate trained and potty trained, Pepper adapts well to routines. Playtime is one of her joys, whether that's with dogs of all play styles or chasing balls (she sometimes even brings them back). She barks at cats, but doesn't pursue them—just her way of drawing a line. Pepper's smart, responds well to training, and despite a minor old injury to one back foot, she's agile and moves without issue—it mostly goes unnoticed. She may bark to alert you about something new, but she's not aggressive. This affectionate girl bonds deeply and is looking for a person who values connection. Spayed, vaccinated, and protected with Simparica Trio, Pepper is fostered in Nevada County and ready for a loving home. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
